In Cairo to attend a film fest, Madhur Bhandarkar captures the mood of the Tahrir Square protests

Madhur Bhandarkar who is in Cairo, Egypt, as a jury member for the film festival was a witness to the recent ongoing agitation by the locals at the historic Al Tahrir Square.

With as many as two lakh Eyptians hitting the streets recently the filmmaker stepped out to witness the protests. Bhandarkar turned photographer and captured their volatile reactions on camera. It will perhaps help in his next slice-of-life film, perhaps?
