"Koi Mere Dil Mein Hai" is an entertainer with dollops of comedy and a bold and daring Dia Mirza sizzling
up the screen.
Director Deepak Ramsay wanted to cast Celina Jaitley in "Koi Mere Dil Mein Hai" but could not get dates
because of her commitment to Feroz Khan's "Janasheen".
Deepak then approached Dia Mirza but was not sure if she would agree to the daring scenes. Dia, however,
consented saying that if the character and situation demanded it then there was no harm.
And so, Dia plays a rich, modern girl who makes heads turn. She nurses the belief that she can get any
man she wants. One man refuses to be bowled over by her and she starts chasing him. In the process, she
realises what is true love and turns over a new leaf.
The film revolves around four characters - Raj, Simran, Sameer and Asha.
Raj (Priyanshu) is the spoilt son of Mumbai-based millionaire, Vikarm Malhotra (Kadar Khan). Afraid that
her son may be falling into bad company Raj's mother (Reema lagoo) gets him engaged to Simran (Diya
Mirza).
Simran is the daughter of a rich non-resident Indian (Sadashiv Amrapurkar) and studies in Dubai. Simran is
lively and naughty by nature and believes in enjoying life and having fun.
Simran meets Sameer (Rakesh Bapat), a young singer from Mumbai who comes to perform in Dubai along
with his troupe. Simran is smitten by Sameer's charm and innocence and falls in love with him.
Raj, on the other hand, meets Asha (Neha) who gives tuitions to his sister. Raj is totally mesmerised by
Asha's simplicity and innocence and feels she is the right girl for him.
The story of the four main characters evolves to an interesting climax when the parents get involved.
Co-produced by Maheshkumar and Arjandas, "Koi Mere Dil Mein Hai" is slated for release May 13.
