Abhishek Bachchan loves cars that are safe, comfortable and child-friendly.

Dhoom and Dhoom 2 and now Dhoom 3. You must have become an expert at bikes?
It's true that bikes are the USP of the Dhoom series and I am shooting for Dhoom 3. But I don't really have much knowledge about bikes. My friends John (Abraham) and Uday (Chopra) taught me how to ride a bike during the shooting of Dhoom. That time we used to ride Hayabusa and Suzuki GSX-1000. So whichever bike I get, it is okay for me. But I am more happy with Indian bikes ... they are not 1000-2000 ccs and are suited for the Indian roads.

When you go to buy a car, what are the features that you look out for?
Being an actor and living in Mumbai and having the kind of commutes we do, we have to have something that is comfortable, safe and, now it's a new addition, child-friendly as well.

What's your favourite car?
I drive an Audi A8, so I am a bit biased towards that. So currently Audi is my favourite car.

What is you wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's favourite car?
My wife is actually very happy with the Audi as well. We travel in that very often.

Is it true that you have gifted Aaradhya a BMW Mini Cooper S on her first birthday?
That's not true, she is too young. As we all know the legal age to drive a car in India is 18; first you have to get a license and Aaradhya doesn't have a car ... she is a child.

You were recently spotted at the Top Gear Awards 2012. What do you have to say about today's car market?
Our Indian carmakers are doing a wonderful job and I appreciate that. Wonderful cars are being made today and every two weeks there is a new car launched and a new auto expo where you see such beautiful cars that it's difficult to decide which one to buy. I remember when I was a kid I used to go to the Geneva Car Show because I studied in Switzerland. It was once a year and you knew the new cars are going to be revealed to the world only one time.

You got your ears pierced.
Yes, I pierced my ears pierced when my daughter (Aaradhya Bachchan) got hers done. I felt I should do something with her. I was not sure if ear piercing would hurt her or not. So I asked them to first pierce mine and then I will decide whether to do it on her or not.

Your daughter has grabbed media attention since her birth. Comment.
I want Aaradhya to grow up as a normal child.

You have proven yourself as a producer with Paa (2009) and Bbuddah Hoga Tera Baap (2011). When are you producing a film again?
Currently I am busy with Dhoom 3. It will take me some time to get back to it.

As a producer, you have always stressed on budgeting of a film.
Yes, I believe films don't fail, budgets do.

What kind of films would you like to do?
I want to do fun films. By fun, I don't mean just comedies. I want to films that will be full-on entertainers and can be watched by everybody. I want to reach out to all sections of audience.
