Nawazuddin Siddiqui is busy taking language lessons for an upcoming documentary

Nawazuddin Siddiqui is on a mission these days. We hear the Muzzafarnagar-born actor is busy learning Marathi.

Busy shooting in areas like Dadar, Parel and Lalbaug over the past few days, Nawaz is striving to learn the language from whatever sources possible. And all this effort is for Dibakar Banerjee's short film in which he plays a Maharashtrian.

A source says, `Nawaz is learning quickly and diligently. In fact, whenever the actor meets a Maharashtrian, he insists that the other party speaks a few lines in Marathi to help increase his grasp over the language. The actor's dedication towards his craft is well known.`

In order to perfect his role in Ketan Mehta's film, the actor had even stayed in a village throughout the shooting.
