Actor Luke Kenny, who plays the main lead in "Rise of the Zombies", said to be India's first zombie thriller, says keeping the story of the film simple was an exciting challenge for the team.

"It (The film) is a beginning of the story. It is the first part of a long story. It is part one of a zombie trilogy, which is going to be coming out in the years to come," Luke said here Tuesday at an event to promote the film.

"Every story should begin in a simple way and that is what we have tried. That has been the most exciting challenge - to keep it simple," he added.

In the film, Luke plays the role of Neil Parker, a passionate wildlife photographer, who pays more attention to wildlife than his own life and later transforms into a zombie.

Directed by Nick Lyon, "Rise of the Zombies" releases Feb 22.
