The sultry siren has just hired two brawny bouncers named Sawant and Thakur, to protect her from the unwanted physical contact. The jat girl finally decided to hire some help after the lurid comments became too much for her to handle.
But why this extra security when she is provided enough security cover by the producers or the event managers?
Says Mallika, "Recently, when I went to Kolkata for the opening of the Rose Garden, I was mobbed by 25 media people thrusting themselves at her. Saurav Ganguly was there too, but, being a guy, he managed to push his way through and evade them. But I couldn't move left or right."
"But with the bodyguards, crowds cannot go unruly with me."
No, she is not trying to scare you. "Sex symbol status isn't at all painful. In fact I'm enjoying it. It's wonderful to be surrounded by people who recognise your achievement and express their desire so honestly. My bodyguards are not here to keep fans away; I have them around in case someone gets too aggressive," she clarifies.
"Post Murder Mallika had been having a tough time handling the crowd going berserk in her presence," adds a close aide. "She would get lurid comments and pinched which is hard to handle for anyone. So she decided to go for this option. After all, it's always better to be a bit cautious."
For the daredevils, who take risks and ask her if she is willing to do the ‘Murderous' act with them, she has just one reply, "Certainly, if you can get to be the hero of my next film."
