Bappi Lahiri to visit Chennai to release debut Tamil song

Bollywood playback singer Bappi Lahiri will visit Chennai Thursday to release a Tamil number he has crooned in upcoming romantic-drama "Karuppampatti".

"Bollywood music legend Bappi Lahiri is coming to Chennai to release his song from the film ''Karuppampatti'," a source close to the film's unit told.

Lahiri has crooned a number called "Disco Naughty Naughty Raja" in the film, which is directed by debutant Prabhu Raja Cholan.

This will be the first Tamil song for the 60-year-old.

While Ajmal Ameer plays the lead in the film, Aparnaa Bajpai and Alice Tantardini too have prominent roles. The film also features Archana, M.S. Bhaskar, Jagan, Srinath and Devadarshini.

Sundar K. has produced the film, which has music by Kannan.
