"As an audience, I would want to watch Tishu's (Tigmanshu Dhulia) film. He is my friend, room partner. Irrfanji is my guru. So I would want to watch his film. It is just a coincidence," the 49-year-old said here Wednesday at the premiere of his film "Saare Jahaan Se Mehnga..."
He is also not worried about the audience being divided between the two films.
"They are two different things, like vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. The public is hungry for entertainment but some want one thing, others something else," he said.
Directed by Anshul Sharma, "Saare Jahaan Se Mehnga..." is a satire on the rising prices in the country.
Sanjai, known mostly for his comic roles in films like "Phas Gaye Re Obama", "Golmaal", "Golmaal Returns", "Golmaal 3", "One Two Three", "Dhamaal" and more, says this film will break his image of being just a comic actor.
"I like myself in varied roles. This is a role which will break a lot of myths about me," Sanjai, who became popular after his role in TV show "Office Office", said.
