It is official. Bollywood star Fardeen Khan is getting engaged to his London-based girlfriend Natasha Madhvani today.

Natasha, the daughter of former actress Mumtaz and British business tycoon Mayur Madhvani has been Fardeen's girlfriend for a long time.

The ceremony will be held at a classy London venue , followed by lunch at the Hapstead hotel for 50 to 60 family members and close friends. The date of the marriage is still to be fixed.

There are already two marriages coming up as cousin Zayed ties the knot with girlfriend Mallika in December. However, it is heard that they are planning for a wedding in early 2006.

Fardeen's mother Sundari Khan, who is in London, is quite ecstatic about her son's engagement.

"It's such a great feeling. My baby is getting engaged," she gushes. "Our families have been friends for years and now we will all be one big family. And to a girl I have known all my life. I saw Natasha when she opened her eyes for the first time.

"I met Mumtaz yesterday and I asked her ‘Can you believe it, we are going to be related?' I am not one of those mothers who worries about getting old on the eve of her son getting hitched. It's one of the happiest days of my life, and I am going to enjoy it."

Fardeen will be clad in a handmade, classic formal 3-button suit with two back vents with satin detailing and finishing white, hand-woven silk, with a wedge collar with cufflink sleeves. He will have silver crystal cufflinks and also a custom-made, white hand woven silk tie to complete the look. The dress will be designed by Shaahid Amir.
