After Kishore Kumar's demise, his son Amit Kumar did many recordings for music composers Lakshmikant Pyarelal, Kalyanji Anandji, Rajesh Roshan and R D Burman.

When CS recently caught up with Amit, he said that it's not just being Kishore da's son that got him all the support back then. Amit recalls the late Lakshmikant telling him once, `Any song of mine that fits the Kishore Kumar style will be yours.

And that won't be because you are Kishore da's son; it will be because you have that spark in you. Otherwise, I wouldn't have given you the song.` Well, we agree with you on that, Amit!
