Taking a cue from the recent rape case at the Marine Drive police chowky, Bollywood has decided to make a Hindi film on it.

Sathi Film Combines has announced their next project ''Marine Drive Police Chowky'', to be written and directed by Aishwarya Chandra alias Subodh Tyagi.

The film intends to throw light on the socio-psychological aspect of such ghastly incidents, going deeper into the psyche of the uniformed men, Mr Chandra said in a release here today.

He said the focus in the film is not on the cops. ''It would be about a criminal mind and not about police'', the director said.

He said the proceeds of the film will go to the rape victims.
