"Nothing is difficult. Just have faith in yourself and work in a simple manner, at ease and on your terms," Jalota said here in an interview.
Jalota is best known for his ghazals like "Aisi Lagi Lagan", "Chaand Angdaiyaan Le Raha Hai", "Tumhare Shahar Ka Mausam", "Main Nazar Se Pee Raha Hoon" and "Laga Chunari Mein Daag".
He said he himself hasn't faced any tough times so far.
"So far I have not faced any difficulty and I am sure that I will never come across it even in future as I have to work according to my terms," he added.
Meanwhile, Jalota seems to be quite busy with his three productions - "Boys Toh Boys Hain", "Baaja Baja Denge" and "Maqsad", all slated to release this year.
"Of these (three films), two are comedies - 'Boys Toh Boys Hain' and 'Baja Baaja Denge' - while "Maksad' is a thriller and features Mithun-ji (Chakraborty) and Om Puri ji.
"This film ('Maqsad') is based on terrorism," said the Padma Shri awardee.
"I am very confident that the audience will enjoy these three films," he added.
