While most actors and actresses swear by their gym regimes, Tapsee admits she is not a gym freak at all. Instead she prefers swimming and tries not to give it a miss. Never to go the diet way, the Punjabi kudi who is well known in the South film industry, makes sure she's healthy but doesn't take the way of the fabled extremes.
EARLY BIRD? NO WAY! I'm not really an early morning person so the whole funda of wake-up-early-and-exercise doesn't suit me. I wake up and detox with warm water followed by green tea and light breakfast. Throughout the day, I have regular intervals of food including fruit salad and boiled vegetables.
WATER, WATER EVERYWHERE: Cardio is an important aspect of workout but I'm not really a gym person. So swimming takes care of my cardio. And when I'm not able to swim, I run. I never miss out on swimming. It is funny because a few months ago, I didn't even know how to swim and was so scared of water!
HIPS DON'T LIE: Dancing has been an integral part of my personality since a very young age. I was into gymnastics too but dancing gradually took over. Nowadays, I dance a lot and being an actress, it serves me both ways!
WEIGHT WATCH: Losing weight is not an issue. Toning muscles is. People often don't realise the difference between the two. Anybody can shed calories but having a toned body takes a lot more effort and discipline.
MY MANTRA: Don't diet. It's unfair on us if we don't have what we're tempted to have. Just make sure you spend a bit more time on your daily exercises to get rid of those extra kilos.
