Akshay Kumar has portrayed the role of a dutiful son in several of his films

And in real life too, Akki believes that one should love and respect one's parents just like one reveres God.

Recently, a couple of young kids met the actor on the sets of his under production Milan Luthria film, which also stars Imran Khan and Sonakshi Sinha.

Sources say that the kids, who are hardcore Akki fans, went gaga upon meeting the star. In return the actor too lavished his affection on them.

Adding that the actor signed autographs for the kids, an onlooker says, `Akshay told the kids that one should pray to his or her parents. He feels it is because of their blessings that one succeeds in life. `

Recently, the actor even opened a cancer shelter for police personnel in memory of his late father Hari Om Bhatia. His production house is also named after his father. The actor also shared a warm relationship with his late father-in-law Rajesh Khanna who called him 'buddy'.
