Kiran Rao to promote Anand Gandhi's 'Ship Of Theseus' online

Kiran Rao to promote Anand Gandhi's 'Ship Of Theseus' online
Monday, May 20, 2013 12:35 IST
While it had been announced a while earlier that Kiran Rao would be presenting Anand Gandhi's upcoming film Ship Of Theseus, she will be doing the film's promotions only on online platforms

Going off the beaten track, Kiran apparently feels that the digital medium holds the key to the future. Sources say she is not going to promote the film on television at all. All the money saved through this would be spent on promoting the film on several online platforms, which Kiran feels is the right way to go forward.

The film that has done several festival circuits was incidentally unsuccessful in getting backers for a domestic release. The film premiered at the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival, where it was described as the 'hidden gem of the year'.

Poster perfect?

The poster of the film is already out and one can't help but notice director Anand Gandhi's name mentioned on it rather inconspicuously. And instead, Kiran's name appears in big, bold fonts.
