Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi has lent support to the annual extravaganza - 'Dance With Joy' by Arts in Motion Studio at their first curtain raiser event for this year held at the studio.

Constantly cheering and providing words of encouragement, Vivek was joined by Aanchal Gupta, Director, Arts in Motion in the Cept rehearsal put together by participants from Dharavi, the biggest slum in Mumbai.

Each year the studio has been supporting a beneficiary cause and this year's theme being - 'Ending Fear, Empowering Women'. This year 'Dance with Joy' aims at empowering women to rise above their fears of physical and mental abuse, sexual harassment and female foeticide. It's also about creating awareness amongst women against rural dogmas, outdated urban attitudes.

'Dance with Joy' is the brainchild of Aanchal Gupta, Director of Arts in Motion who ecstatically commented, `We have successfully been conducting this show since last six years and this being its seventh year, we promise to make it bigger and better.

It is always good to see girls perform enthusiastically and we are happy to be a reason behind their smiles.

All the themes during the past years have been around the collective societal ideas, namely 'Challenging Arthritis, Embracing Life', 'Fighting Cancer, Living Life', 'Fighting Foeticide, Nurturing Girl child' and this year too we have put in a lot of thought and zeroed down on empowering women being our focus this year`

Vivek Oberoi said "it feels great to be here and be a part of such a good cause."

This glittering show will be held in collaboration with SNEHA, an NGO in Dharavi, on July 7 at the St. Andrews Auditorium, Bandra.
