Actor Rajeev Khandelwal will play a detective in the upcoming suspense drama 'Samrat and Co'

Rajeev plays Samrat, a detective, in the film to be produced by Kavita Barjatya and directed by Kaushik Ghatak. Shooting is expected to start in September. "I grew up fantasising about the world of Sherlock Holmes and always wanted to create one.

This is not at all a 'desi' version of Holmes but our own unique detective hero. Though it's a very different genre for Hindi cinema, people will identify with the subject," Director Ghatak said.
