"I have been contacted because of my association with Chan. We have had a few rounds of discussions on a film that is being worked out in the US and is based on martial arts," Satyanarayanan told in an interview.
He, however, declined to give more information about the new film. "Please do not press me for more details. I am not supposed to speak about the film," said Satyanarayanan.
Last year he not only saw Jackie Chan in real life but also had a five-minute one-to-one fight sequence with him in the film. He was in China for over a month for the shooting.
He said the name of the Chan film has been changed from "Project So4" to "The Myth". It is being produced for Chan's company, Wonder World Corporation.
The production team of "The Myth" was looking for inputs on martial arts from India because the film is set in an imaginary country called Sadai between China and India.
Satyanarayanan played the role of the prince of Sadai.
"Recently, the stunt director contacted me because certain dialogues of the film are in Malayalam and they wanted the translation. The Chinese version of the film has been completed and post-production for the English version is continuing," Satyanarayanan said.
Satyanarayanan is an instructor at C.V.N. Kalari, an institute here that provides training in martial arts. His 75-year-old father, Govindankutty Nair, is chief instructor.
