If you reside in Bandra, chances are that to watch Parineeti Chopra and Sushant Singh Rajput's upcoming film, you may have to head elsewhere.
Sources say that Yash Raj Films is apparently planning to release Shudh Desi Romance in a digital print. Most of the films currently are being shot in the digital format but are released in analog as well.
Moolah matters
Insiders say that releasing a film in digital helps the production house save big bucks. A source says, `The process could save up to R 50 to R 70 lakh for the makers.` A source says, `The production house's move could hamper the chances of the film being shown across all cinemas.`
Taking stock
Another source from a single screen-turned-multiplex in Bandra says on conditions of anonymity, `If the studio releases the film only in digital, we won't be able to screen it. A call will be taken from our end if the print needs to be converted to analog by us. But most likely, that is not a possibility.`
Yash Raj Films remained unavailable for comment.
