Akshay Kumar has opted out of Rajkumar Santoshi's new film starring Salman Khan. According to insiders, the film is a remake of Hollywood film Amadeus which Santoshi
had planned to make about five years back with Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan. The film didn't take off then as Aamir wanted to play SRK's character and therefore
Santoshi had to shelve the film.
Santoshi has now found a producer for the film for which he approached Salman Khan and Akskhay Kumar, but with Akshay Kumar walking out of the project, Santoshi has
now roped in Ajay Devgan.
Tentatively titled London Bridge, the director is currently in London scouting locations for the film.
However, the industry grapevine is aghast by Santoshi's announcements of films. The director has announced nothing less than five films in the last two years, with only one
film Family nearing completion. His project with AB Corp, Ranveer, still hasn't taken off for lack of script, though the director is confident of starting the film early next year.
Meanwhile, he has announced another film with producer Sami Siddique titled Saamna with a huge star cast of Aishwarya Rai, Ajay Devgan, Nana Patekar and Akshay
Kumar. It is likely to be a political thriller. Santoshi has only shot for a few days for the film. Keshu Ramsay, the producer of Family, has also signed him for another film
which, the producer informs, will go on floor by the end of year.
