Bollywood's most memorable police inspector Jagdish Raj bids adieu to the world this morning. Raj who played the character of a police inspector 144 times in his 21 year long cine career, also holds the Guinness World Record on his name for reiterating the character.

While talking to the journalists his son-in law Rakesh Malhotra informed that, veteran actor had severe respiratory ailment and was not keeping well from past two years and this morning he succumbed to his prolonged illness.


Born in Sargoda Pakistan, the veteran actor shared screen space with various superstars of Bollywood. Raj is survived by his daughters Anita Raj who also had been into showbiz and Roopa Malhotra.
