With new movie releases every Friday, the shelf life of movies at the box office keeps diminishing. Rarely do we see a movie which
continues its magic on the box office even after 10 days. Nikhil Advani's 'D-Day' is one such movie, which has managed to be rock
steady at the box office even after its first week.
On the other hand, 'Ramaiya Vastavaiya' which released alongside 'D-Day' is slumping downward.
'D-Day', directed by Nikhil Advani, boasts of a strong star cast and deals with a sensitive topic of getting back India's most wanted
criminal. The movie has been going steady at the box office and slowly increasing its collections, even though last Friday saw as
many as seven movies releasing.
The movie has raked in over 30 crores within two weeks of release; while on the other hand, 'Ramaiya Vastavaiya' is not doing as
well at the box office.
An industry insider who does not wish to be named reveals that, `Ramaiya Vastavaiya is on a decline at the box office and many
theatres have already pulled it down.`
Audiences and critics alike have given Nikhil Advani's 'D-Day' a thumb up; people are in love with the action sequences. Overall, the
movie has managed to hold its ground at the box office and is raking in the moolah.
