Opting to become the face of a condom brand is never an easy task. Sources say while Arjun Rampal has agreed to become the brand ambassador for a popular condom company, he wants to make sure he earns enough from the deal

The actor has apparently demanded a whopping Rs 6 crore that has left the company mulling over the matter.


Says an insider from the company, `Arjun was the first choice to be ambassador of the company because of his personality. Initially he too seemed interested in the offer.

But when we were about to go head with the contract, he informed us that he wanted Rs 6 crore, which we think is a bit too much.

We tried to convince him to reduce his fees but he is pretty firm on his decision. `


Those close to the star feel that since his recent film won him a lot of applause from critics, Arjun has hiked his fees.

The actor's friend says, `Arjun is in demand these days and he has received a lot of endorsement offers. However, he does not want to jump at every opportunity that comes his way.

He will be the first A-list actor to do such a commercial. ` Arjun remained unavailable for comment.
