Beamed on Life OK, "Savdhaan India" brings real-life crime stories on TV and the current focus is Mumbai. The actor, who will host the segment, feels it is important to sensitise citizens about crime rates in the city.
"I am happy to be associated with a show like 'Savdhaan India'. Being a Mumbaikar myself, I feel it is extremely important to make my fellow citizens aware of the crime rates in the city and how they can fight against them. I hope the audiences accept me in this role, " he said in a statement.
Talking about the series, Ajit Thakur, general manager, Life OK, said: "Through the series we want to reinstate and re-establish the lost glory of Mumbai as the safest city and encourage Mumbaikar's to fight against the crimes."
The new series will begin Aug 10 and will air every weekend at 8 p.m.
