Breaking away from the norm of throwing lavish parties for his industry friends, Shah Rukh Khan will be hosting a grand Eid bash on Saturday afternoon at his Bandra residence for the media

And looks like the preparations are already underway to make it an afternoon to remember.

According to sources, a special menu is being chalked up with Eid dishes on the offer. Says an insider, `SRK is known to have an open house for the media on his birthdays but this time around he is having one on Eid as well. Chennai Express releases a day before and he seems to be pretty confident about it.`


With Eid staple biryani and sheer kurma on the platter, other mouthwatering delicacies like dahi vada, tikkas, aloo bhajiyas and pakodas too are being prepared.

An array of fruits is specially being called in along with gulab jamun as desserts. For the afternoon lunch feast, a special cook might be summoned from the north to dish out traditional sweets and savouries.
