Living on the 37th floor of an Andheri high-rise, never in his wildest dreams did Ahmed Khan ever imagine his plush home getting flooded. But recently, the choreographer's family faced a bizarre incident at their apartment, rendering them homeless for a few days.
A humongous fish tank in their house, home to around 200 fish (some of which belonged to exotic species) broke into pieces, sending 300 litres of water gushing all over. The sudden onslaught of water sent the family fleeing for cover, the water damaging expensive furniture in the house while the hapless fish gasped for breath.
Says a source, `Ahmed was in office when he was informed about the accident at home. His entire house was flooded. The water had overflown from his home and entered the elevator shaft. Thankfully, his neighbours had taken his kids in.`
A distraught Khan confirms, `I am extremely passionate about my fish. I had some exotic variety like Red Chili Arwana, Golden Arwana, Yellow Pigeon, Red Melon Discuss, Sting Ray apart from a set of lobsters. I lost some of them but managed to save the others.
The tank was beautiful to look at but sadly it's gone now. The cleaning process is going on and the entire house is stinking.` Khan's fish tank was quite unique as it was fitted in such a way that the fish appeared swimming against the sky.
