Sources close to Sanjay Leela Bhansali claim it was the director who dumped his 'flop' show on TV

Five months ago, when Sanjay Leela Bhansali's debut television venture went on air, it was preceded by a lot of fanfare. But the show ran into rough weather soon after, with TRPs going for a downward spiral.

Close on the heels of the channel folk apparently handing over the reins of the show to producer, Sujoy Wadhwa, those close to SLB claim it was him who decided to part ways with the channel.

A source says, `The channel and SLB's team were not on the same page after not getting positive response for the director's show. Bhansali is known to work on his own terms and conditions. When the channel voiced their concern, it was tough to sort out the problem. `

Insiders say although initially both parties made an effort to adjust with each other, the channel finally took a call last week and allotted the show's production to another producer. However, Bhansali's spokesperson vehemently denies bitter relations between the two sides.

He says, `All the rumours about Bhansali moving out from the project is not true. He had a meeting with the channel where he informed them about his hectic schedule around his upcoming big screen projects. He wanted them to relieve him of all the production work. However, he wants to continue making creative decisions on the show. `
