While it is a norm in Bollywood for filmmakers to pay the staff of every star that is part of his/her film, looks like veteran musician Pyarelal too wants a TV channel to go the same way

When the makers of a reality show approached him to become the guest judge on a music talent contest, he demanded to bring along his troupe of 40 musicians while also insisting that the entire team be paid for it.

A crewmember says, `The show has got its four finalists and the makers were keen to have the noted composer on the board to groom these kids. But they were a bit apprehensive about bearing expenses of the 40 other musicians. Initially the two parties met but the issue was not sorted. `

However, insiders say that the channel has buckled to Pyarelal's demands and have agreed to cough up the money for his team.

A source says, `The channel has decided to pay the musicians and they are ready to shoot with Pyarelalji for three days. On the first day he will have music sessions with the kids and will shoot the episodes over the next two days. `

Incidentally, Pyarelal denies the buzz stating, `It is not true. They are nice people and gave me a lot of respect. They never refused to pay my team. Five days ago, the officials came to meet me. Yesterday we locked the dates and my musicians will be accompanying me. ` The official spokesperson of the channel rubbished the buzz.
