Several Hollywood actors have charitable interests in India, with Matt Damon among them. Insiders say the star could be travelling to the Indian shores next month. Matt had also shot one of his Bourne franchisee films in India.
Says a source, `Matt is very active supporting social causes. He was in Chennai in 2009 to support the cause of water management as his NGO works for improving sanitation conditions and clean water across 11 centres in India.`
With his upcoming film set to hit the marquee here on September 27, those close to the actor say he could be flying out East soon. `He could be arriving in India between September 23 and 28,` adds the source.
