Rekha's step-nephew Abhinay Vaddi had an amusing incident while shooting for the biopic on mathematical genius Srinivasa Ramanujan.

Vaddi shot a vital portion of the film in the house of the math wizard

The cast and crew encountered students who came to seek blessings from the statue in the vicinity.

Realising that Vaddi, the grandson of Gemini Ganesan and Savitri, was playing Ramanujan, they took blessings from him as well. The multi lingual film has Suhasani Mani Ratnam as his co-star.
