Arshad Warsi plays the character of a spy in Mr Joe B Carvalho. According to producer Bholaram Malviya, his character is inspired by Steve Martin's role in The Pink Panther

Arshad's character ends up botching up every case he takes up much like Martin. `He has indeed taken inspirations from the iconic character and film,` says Malviya.
