Sachin Tendulkar surprised Shahid Kapoor and 'Phata Poster Nikla Hero' crew by endorsing the upcoming film online

Shahid Kapoor has found another fan and this time it's someone special. A few days ago, Sachin Tendulkar took to his social networking site to talk about the actor's upcoming film, Phata Poster Nikla Hero.

Incidentally, the cricketer and the actor don't know each other personally and insiders say neither was it a publicity gimmick.

Says a source, `Though Shahid is a huge cricket fan, he doesn't know Sachin personally. The entire team is happy to know where the applause is coming from.`


Producer Ramesh Taurani says, `I have met Sachin casually a couple of times but this comes as a major surprise. The fact that he has liked the film's promo is a genuine compliment for all of us.`

An ecstatic Shahid says, I was so happy to see Sachin sir's Facebook page declaring September as the Phata Poster month.
