Though Ranbir and his ladylove Katrina celebrated bringing Ganpati home at the actor's Bandra residence, daddy Rishi Kapoor went to work as usual

Sources say the crew on Sanjay Chhel's upcoming comedy thought the veteran actor was going to take the day off from work to participate in the festivities at home. But to everyone's surprise, the senior Kapoor landed on the sets.

A crewmember says, `Ganpati celebrations at the Kapoors' are big. Since it was the day of immersion of the idol, Sanjay and his team thought Chintuji won't turn up.`

Insiders say Kapoor's co-star Paresh Rawal too was a thorough professional as the veteran too turned up at the sets to shoot despite having to perform in a play the same evening.
