Irrfan too jumps into Oscars' debate, disappointed
Irrfan khan is unhappy over the decision of the Film Federation of India's Oscars selection committee to send Gujurati movie Good Road, and not the Lunchbox for the film-fest . The debate continues. Earlier the director of 'The Lunchbox' Ritesh Batrqa and producers Anurag Kashyap and Karan Johar aired their disappointment over the decision.

Irrfan says, `As an actor in the movie one feels about it. It is your own product so you feel disappointed if an opportunity is missed. Beyond this what else can I say.`

Ultimately, it is the public which, will judge the product, says Irrfan and adds that if your film is recognized there (Oscars), it then changes the perception of the world. He argues that it becomes a source of encouragement for the present and the coming generations.

In case a movie is selected for the Oscars but does not have the capacity and the ability to travel that far, the opportunity is lost, he maintains and reveals that the Lunchbox received very good response at the Cannes Film festival and it was immediately sold all over the world, which normally does not happen.
