Prominent Bollywood actors Amitabh Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit, and Akshay Kumar besides many others have voiced their concern over the damage caused by Cyclone Phailin prevalent in Andhra Pradesh and Odisha.

The celebrities took to Twitter to pray for the victims of Cyclone Phailin, which lashed parts of Odisha and Andhra Pradesh on Sunday.

Amitabh Bachchan tweeted: `Dear Lord ye #Phailin ko zyaada 'phialne' se rokiye .. daya karen hamaare desh vasiyon par .. surakshit rakkhein un sab ko .. !!`

Madhuri Dixit, who recently came back to Mumbai, from her Temptations Reloaded show, tweeted: "My prayers go out to all the people affected by Cyclone Phailin. May God give them strength to overcome this ordeal."

Fierce Cyclone Phailin has left a trail of destruction in coastal Odisha where nearly nine lakh people were hit and crops worth Rs 2,400 crore destroyed even as one person was killed in Andhra Pradesh in a house collapse.

Akshay Kumar tweeted: `My prayers with all those impacted by nature's wrath... hoping for calm in Odisha, sadly that's all we can do at this moment.`
