Though Rohit Shetty has announced his plans of remaking the Tamil film 'Soodhu Kavvum', he may not be able to direct his own project
Sources close to the filmmaker say that in the scheme of things, Rohit's next project 'Singham 2', expected to go on the floors in January, could overshoot its stipulated schedule.
The director apparently is also looking to work with Shah Rukh Khan post the Ajay Devgn starrer. Buzz is that in that case, the remake of the Tamil flick could be handed over to Shimit Amin to helm the project. Soodhu Kavvum is expected to go on the floors mid-2014.
Says a source, `The film will not be the quintessential Rohit Shetty-big-budget movie. Though he is keen to remake the film, it may not be possible. He has signed three directors under his banner Shimit Amin, Mohit Suri and Ashish R Mohan. Any one of them could be directing the film.`
