` Here's what Jacqueline had to tell CS when we caught up with her at an event. Excerpts.
Bollywood calling
It's been over six years since I debuted in films, the journey has been a learning curve for me. Obviously, I have changed and grown as an actress and person. Every actor has his ups and downs, I am no different. But the idea is to emerge stronger and convinced about doing better work. I have realised that it's only us who limit ourselves.
The girl gang
The industry is a warm place and I share a great working relationship with my co-stars. I am good friends with Sonam Kapoor, Asin and Sonal Seghal with whom I did Aladdin. Of course, it's an effort to be in touch with friends but its worth it all. Ironically, most of my films had two-three actresses, whichmade for good bonding time over food, fashion, gossip and men.
Revolution in cinema
It is easy to do drama, romance or tragedy, the tough part is comedy. The comic timing is critical and one cannot go wrong with it. As a medium, films reach a wide audience and I am happy that films are coming of age. Today, we have films dealing with real life subjects that impact the common man. It's an artistic high for me to be part of an industry that's full of ideas.
Idly island
The island I bought recently was a special gift from me to my parents. It was my dad who told me about this four-acre island a few months back. We still have to decide about the island. It can be converted into a tourist destination or a holiday home for the family.
Adventure buff
I love a rush of adrenaline. Even in my childhood, I looked forward to outdoor activities. These days, I have turned into an adventure sports junkie. I like to indulge in them whenever I am on a holiday. I am an advanced-level scuba diver.
On my last vacation to New Zealand, I sky-jumped at The Pipeline Bungy. My heart skipped a beat when I took the four-second free fall from the longest single span suspension bridge over the raging Shotover River. It was thrilling to the core. I am now planning on taking up night-diving and diving with sharks whenever time permits.
Style files
To be stylish one has to be comfortable in his skin. It's important to accept your assets and flaws. I feel that comfort is the most overlooked factor. For me, a good outfit, comfortable shoes and a statement accessory is good to go.
