Subhash Ghai, Hridaynath Mangeshkar, Jaya and Amitabh Bachchan at an awards event where the Big B was conferred the Hridaynath Mangeshkar award.

The award was to be presented by Lata Mangeshkar to the Big B but due to health issues she could not make it and filmmaker Subhash Ghai did the honours.

The Mangeshkar family has been observing Hridaynath's birthday (October 26) every year and the first award was bagged by Lata Mangeshkar in 2011 while Asha Bhosle bagged it last year.
