Said the source, "What if Parveen refused to leave the house? It wouldn't have been easy to ask her to leave then." Though Kabir had reportedly married Parveen eight years ago, sources close to the family tell us that both Pooja and her step-brother Adam Bedi do not have any knowledge about their father's nuptials.
Parveen and Pooja shared a good rapport for years but sources say that the relationship denigrated in the past months when Pooja was told that Parveen was bad-mouthing her. "Pooja had allowed Kabir and Parveen to stay in her Juhu house because she connected well with Parveen. But she put her foot down and asked her to leave because she had enough reasons to believe that Parveen was eyeing the flat," added the source. Pooja's circle of friends then advised her to take immediate action to avoid a property dispute. The conflict saw Kabir caught between the two most important women in his life.
"Pooja has nothing against her father but the step had to be taken," said the source. A news daily also has it that Adam and his wife Nisha Harare too could not get along with Parveen and have distanced themselves from her.
Added the source, "The situation in the Bedi family is very sticky at the moment. But they are working on a patch-up but yes, Kabir and Parveen cannot go back to that Juhu house for sure." Confirming that Pooja had sold the Juhu flat in question, Nisha added, "Our family has always come out of adverse situations. Even this shall pass. Pooja is my sister-in-law but I consider her my sister. I want to see her happy."
