Ticket rates were to be slashed on Children's Day.
Apparently the film exhibitors and distributors could not arrive at a collective consensus to lower ticket rates for a day, no matter how special the day.
A representative of a leading multiplex chain in Mumbai reveals, `There was a proposal to bring down the ticket rates of Krrish 3 on Children's Day. But November 14 also happens to be Moharram. We didn't want to lose out on holiday crowds for Krrish 3 a day before the release of Ram Leela when we expect a fall in footfalls for Krrish 3 anyway. So all fiscal relief for Children's Day stand cancelled.`
Rakesh Roshan denies reports that appeared on Tuesday that ticket rates are being slashed by 40 to 45 percent.
Says the producer-director, `The distributors are working out a scheme for Children's Day. But we haven't decided what the scheme would be. Children's Day happens to coincide with Moharram this year, so it's a holiday. We'll soon make an announcement.`
