Now it's Sunny Deol's turn to face the fury of intolerance.
A source reveals that some members of censorboard have objected to a sequence in the new Sunny Deol starrer Singh Saab The Great where Sunny takes his turban off and uses it to save a child's life.
Apparently a heated argument ensued when the censorboard asked for that scene to be deleted as they opined,it was likely to hurt religious sentiments.
Says the reliable source, `When some panel members objected to the scene, the director Anil Sharma fought back heatedly arguing that every religion preaches the preservation of children and women from danger. In fact a woman panelist from the censorboard even pointed out that women are known to take off their sarees to save endangered lives from plunging to death.`
However the censorboard refused to let the scene go,as any matter pertaining to religious sentiments is seen to be extra-sensitive. Anil Sharma refused to take the cut. He went to the Revising Committee of the CBFC , and the `objectionable` scene has now been cleared with a 'UA' certificate.
