Pooja Bhatt to Produce Film in Indonesia

Famous Film Producer Ms Pooja Bhatt who was charmed by the beauty, traditional heritage and cultural richness of Bali in Indonesia during a private visit to Indonesia two years back has expressed keen desire to do shooting of major part of her next film 'Cabaret' in Indonesia. In a meeting organised by Mahesh Saharia, Honorary Consul of Indonesia at Kolkata at the Embassy of Indonesia at New Delhi, the Ambassador of Indonesia H.E. Rizali Wilmar Indrakesuma welcomed the initiative and assured to take up the matter with different Ministries in Indonesia to facilitate the filming in Indonesia with ease, without difficulty and problems. Ms Bhatt agreed to the suggestion of the Ambassador and VisitIndonesia Director Sanjay Sondhi of visiting the various other exotic locations of culturally rich and diversified Indonesia beyond Bali and will look into the possibilities of including the same within the limitations of the script. VisitIndonesia will facilitate such visit.

Ms Pooja Bhatt a third generation film producer has almost 50 films to her credit as Actor/Director/Producer and was very excited with the excellent reception and a Meeting on Sunday with senior functionaries of the Embassy. The meeting was attended besides Ambassador himself, Honorary Consul, Director VisitIndonesia, Ms Hendra Henny Andries, Minister Counsellor, Ms Rospinda Saragih, Counsellor, Mr Budi Santosa, Trade Attahce. Ms Bhatt was accompanied by her colleague Ms Tanvi Modi.


Ms Pooja Bhatt also shared that she has decided and is in the process of finalising another project on the life of legendary Dr Bhupen Hazarika of Assam.

Embassy of Indonesia greatly appreciates the keen desire of Ms Pooja Bhatt to shoot her film in Indonesia and while assuring her of all cooperation, hope that such film will make Indonesian destinations and locations more popular in India and bring more tourists from India and will work as pioneering project and catalyst to attract more Indian Film Producers to look at Indonesia as favored destination.
