Kiran Rao is busy providing guidance and support to the young artists for their projects especially those related to documentary movies. She recently backed Anand Gandhi's indie release, Ship of Theseus. Kiran will now be moderating the pitching sessions at an event called `The Good Pitching Session'. The session is supposed to provide a chance to the upcoming talent to interact with producers and exhibitors.

Out of 123 entries that have come from across the country only 8 will be short listed to present to an expert panel event which will be held on February 4 next year. All participants will be given seven minutes to give their presentation which must include three minute trailer. The participants will get feed back from the panel and the audience. Here kiran comes in to pitch these documentaries to the panel. Over the years Kiran has earned a reputation for supporting non mainstream films.
