To mark the 27th death anniversary of his mother Smita Patil on December 13, Prateik visited the school his mother used to visit.

The actor spent time at the Gnyaneshwar Vidyalaya, a municipal school in Mumbai, to spend time with the kids, playing with them and distributing sweets. The event was organised by Prateik's aunt Anita Patil. Prateik says, `It was an emotional moment for me. The visit would have made my mother proud. I hope to visit the school in future as well.`
