Filmmaker Ashim Ahluwalia was in for a big shock when the organisers refused to release trailer of his new film Miss Lovely because of its explicit content.

When the organisers of the meet-and-greet event saw the trailer Ashim was armed with, they were in for a shock, thanks to its explicit content. And they decided to pull the plug on the teaser at the last moment. An eyewitness told,"Ashim thought Comic Con was the best platform to generate some buzz and get people talking about the film. But the organisers, who had watched the trailer earlier refused to play this version as they felt it wasn't suited for the young crowd gathered at the event."

After the no-show of the trailer, the event proved to be a dampener for the stars, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Niharika Singh, as well as the audience. Added the source, "Nawaz was perplexed as he didn't know why the situation came up."

When contacted, Ashim confirmed the news. He said, "We were very disappointed when the organisers decided not to play the promo because of its explicit content. The idea was to show the trailer to the youngsters. It is not the end of the world as we have planned a couple of other events where we will show the trailer too."
