Recently, when Aamir Khan was in US on a MTV road show, he was taken off from the flight three times. The mistaken belief occurred because of his last name, Khan. A little birdie tells us that he was interrogated because some passengers who were on the flight called the FBI. This all started right after the attacks on Sep. 11 when Muslim passengers and especially those who had long beard and the turban were offloaded from the flight, because some passengers said they can't take any risk.

The same case of mistaken identity happened with Sunil Shetty when he was in Los Angeles and while shooting for his forthcoming film Kaante, some youngsters mistook him for an Afghan because of his make up with the beard and turban on. Sunil Shetty was beaten up badly.

Coming back to Aamir Khan's incident, he was interrogated by the FBI for over two hours. With the surname ‘Khan' and the face like Afghans, they said the passengers mistook Aamir.
