Jackie Shroff has been nominated in the Best Actor category at he 58th Locarno International Film festival for
his performance in Rituparno Ghosh's 'Antar Mahal'.
The film, scheduled for media screening on August 10, is a story of a wicked Zamindar, his wives, Rupa
Ganguly and Soha Ali Khan, and a sculptor, played by Abhishek, and his wife, Raima Sen.
According to Jackie, the idea of having two wives attracted him to the role and though he began with just two
words of Bengali he picked up the language so well during the shoot that his voice was used in the dubbing
as well.
'Antar Mahal' has also been nominated in the Best Film category at the same festival.
