Former Jammu beauty queen Anara Gupta, who shot to the limelight with a porn video allegedly featuring her, has been hospitalised for jaundice.

Gupta has been admitted to the Acharya Shri Chander College of Medical Sciences, better known as Batra hospital.

The former Miss Jammu, now starring in a Hindi film, cut short her film-shooting schedule in New Delhi and flew back here Tuesday after complaining of nausea. She was immediately taken to the hospital.

Gupta came to the spotlight in October last year when she was taken into custody for allegedly featuring in a sex and sleaze movie. The charges were withdrawn after a forensic report said the girl in the film was not Anara Gupta.

Gupta has also featured in a Punjabi song video that was shot in Himachal Pradesh, besides acting in some television serials.

Film producer Ashok Pandit decided to make a film on her ordeal, from being crowned Miss Jammu to chasing ambitions of becoming a film star and getting embroiled in a sex scandal that made her a social outcast.

Since she is barred by the court from speaking to the media, Gupta smiled at reporters who visited her Wednesday but no photographs were allowed.

The Jammu and Kashmir High Court has reserved judgement in her case.
