The Tamil version of popular game show "Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC)" was launched Friday night with engineering student Abhishek Gaurav in the hot seat, qizzed by a "Tamil-speaking Amitabh Bachchan".

Gaurav, a student of the Indian Institute of Technology-Madras, played the game with Amitabh Bachchan but the voice was of Tamil actor Nizhalgal Ravi.

Vijay TV, a channel belonging to the STAR Television group, publicised the show as "Nambikkaiku mele double (double what you hope for!)"
