Indian origin filmmaker Deepa Mehta's daughter Devyani Saltzman is ready with a book on her mother's painful divorce and the hardship she faced while making her film "Water" in India.

The book, "Shooting Water: A Mother-Daughter Journey & The Making Of A Film", will be released across Canada on Oct 1, according to the South Asian Observer here.

The Toronto-based Mehta had to abandon filming of "Water" in Varanasi, India, after hardline Hindu protesters burned the sets, claiming the movie distorted Indian culture. She completed the film in Sri Lanka.
